This table displays the trends in the road safety situation over the years 2002 to 2009. A steady increase in the number of crashes from year to year (with the exception of 2004) was observed. Greater variation is evident in the number of injury crashes and the fatalities, and serious and slight injuries that resulted from these crashes.
